Anne Rice’s Interview with a Vampire is also on the syllabus, which I think is a depressing sign of the insidious vampirification of academia.  (Also, I am the last person in the world to figure out that Photo Booth doesn’t use flash when you hold down the Shift key, this is probably how Einstein felt when he finished Relativity.)
